All four boys had check-ups this month so we all went yesterday (in 2 different appointments - I am not completely insane!) First went the triplets for their 6 month appt and as we suspected our little peanut Benjamin went from the smallest to the heavy weight! He weighed in at 21 lbs and some change. Theodore came in second at 20lbs6oz, and Winston at 18lbs. Theodore was the tallest by 2 inches! They all looked great, iron levels up and developmentally they are on track. They are all being measured on the regular chart not preemie and are all up on percentiles (dont ask me what they were, Theo's were up on the 90s for height and weight, the other two mixed). We don't go again until 9mos so it was surreal to be talking about all the things to look for in the next few months, like being able to use a cup, grabbing food, etc. Benjamin is the closest to sitting up, he actually can do it but needs something there when he tilts over. Winston rolls over like crazy either direction, Theo is better at rolling from tummy to back.
At his 2 yr appt, Alexander weighed in at 37 lbs and 37.5"! He topped the growth charts as usual. He freaked out when the doc brought out the stethoscope and then tried to check his ears. She said this is normal around this age because they have figured out what is going on and don't like it. We started talking about his favorite foods, namely cake, and he brightened up pretty fast. He looks like he is doing great too. We got some tips on potty training. We acknowledged the fact that he's ready and it's really up to us when we want to pick a week, be consistent with it and get it done. Stay tuned..
I'm a lucky momma to have these 96 pounds of lovin at home waiting on me every day (and night)!!
